It can be an espresso or filter coffee, or a latte. However, you must be aware that there are many more coffee drinks.
Every country or region has a coffee drink that is famous there. Coffee is universal, and tons of people wake up to its aroma. The feeling is the same, but how they make and take coffee is different. If you want to increase your coffee pallet, here are a few coffee drinks that you need to try. If you cannot get it at a nearby cafe, try it at home with simple recipes that we will share.

Coffee Drink 1: Kaffeost from Sweden
Kaffeost translates to cheese coffee, and this is exactly what this coffee is all about. The cheese in this coffee is “Leipäjuusto” or bread cheese that you can find in Finland. In other areas, squeaky cheese. Though we think with globalization, it will be easy to find breadcheese in your region.
You will Need:
- Cheese
- Brewed coffee- 1 cup
To Make:
- Use a Nespresso pod to brew a cup of strong coffee.
- Then cut cheese into cubes and place it in the brewing hot coffee.

Coffee Drink 2: Egg Coffee from Vietnam
Every Vietnamese is proud of their egg coffee. It is thick and so delicious, you should try this when you go to Vietnam. Egg coffee is sixty years old, and it is something you can make at home with ease.
To Try This, You Need:
- Egg yolk- 1 large egg
- Sweetened condensed milk- ¼ cup
- Espresso
- Vanilla extract- 1 tsp
To Make:
- Brew strong espresso using Nespresso pods. 12 ounces is enough for two servings of coffee. Decrease or increase according to your need.
- Now, in a pan, add the egg yolk, condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Whip it till you get a soft peak.
- Fill a cup half with coffee, and then add 1 or 2 tablespoons of whipped egg yolk in it. Pour remaining coffee over the whipped cream and dust it with coffee/cocoa powder. (Optional).
- Enjoy the coffee!
Coffee drink 3: Filter Coffee from India
Filter coffee is one of the most famous coffee in India. Its origin comes from the Southern side of the country, and it is popular worldwide. It is a perfect companion to your breakfast and gets ready in 15 minutes.

Coffee Drink 4: Cafezinho from Brazil
Cafezinho means little coffee and in Brazil, it is an invitation to sit down and have a conversation. It is a sweet coffee but does not have any milk or cream.
To Brew This, You Need:
- Coldwater- ¾ cup
- Espresso coffee beans (from Brazil, if possible)
- Sugar- to taste
- Saucepan
- Coffee filter
To Make:
- In a saucepan, put some sugar and water and heat it. Do not boil!
- Add coffee grounds and stir them well together.
- In a mug, add a coffee filter. Then pour the coffee through it. Let it come down on its own without forcing it down.
- Enjoy a sweet espresso.
Coffee Drink 5: Qahwa from South Africa
Qahwa is like Turkish coffee. The main difference is the coffee beans. In Qahwa, they use green coffee beans, and the brew is weak. They also add a few herbs to it, like saffron or cardamom, or cloves. It gives it a unique flavor.
You Need:
- Green coffee beans- coarsely ground- 1 tbsp
- Cardamom powder or crushed cardamom pods- 1 tbsp
- Water- 2.5 cups
- Cloves- 5 (optional)
- Saffron- 5-8 strands (optional)
To Make:
- Boil water in a saucepan and add coffee to it. Let it boil.
- Add cardamom and cloves. Boil it for another five minutes
- Add saffron or rosewater after taking it after heat.
- Pour into a cup through a coffee-filter.
